Inspired by the native habitat of Neocaridina shrimp, Shrimp Expert Neohabitat Mineral is designed to restore the water conditions they are instinctively adapted to. Through precise mineral ratios and rigorous formulation control, it consistently recreates the subtle, well-balanced water chemistry found in their natural environment.
Using the clarity and stability of Taiwanese mountain spring water as a reference baseline, each dose enhances mineral composition according to scientifically defined ratios, bringing habitat-inspired water conditions into aquariums to support healthy growth, successful molting, and long-term water stability for Neocaridina shrimp.

Solving Regional Water Quality Differences
Neocaridina shrimp are highly sensitive to water chemistry. Variations in water sources across regions or even within the same area can negatively affect growth, tank stability, reproduction, and coloration.
This formulation helps mitigate the effects of regional water variability by establishing a stable, reproducible mineral baseline, allowing breeders worldwide to achieve predictable, habitat-aligned water conditions using their local water supply.
Inspired by Native Habitat Water Chemistry
Developed by Larmax International, with over 30 years of expertise in Neocaridina breeding, this mineral formulation is modeled after groundwater from Taiwan’s Dawu Mountain geological strata. Through scientific analysis of native habitat water chemistry, these features are translated into a stable and reproducible formula for aquarium use.
The mineral balance is centered on a Ca : Mg : K ratio of 8 : 1.5 : 1, combined with carbonate buffering to achieve a KH / GH ratio of approximately 0.58 / 1.0. This supports long-term stability of water hardness and pH, meeting the requirements for daily care and breeding of Neocaridina shrimp.
Rapid Dissolution & Clean Dispersion
Composed of high-quality ingredients, this finely milled powder dissolves rapidly upon contact with water and disperses evenly throughout the aquarium without visible residue or substrate buildup, helping reduce routine maintenance and maintain clear, stable water conditions suitable for long-term Neocaridina care.

Water Quality Recommendations by Rearing Stage :
At the standard dosage, the water reaches a TDS of approximately 260–270 ppm. This range is suitable for everyday care and breeding. The TDS can be adjusted as needed to match different rearing stages. Designed for predictable results under different regional water sources.
Startup Tank & Juvenile Stage
180–270 ppm
This formulation features a finely milled powder that dissolves rapidly upon contact with water and disperses evenly throughout the aquarium. It leaves no visible residue and is unlikely to settle into the substrate or accumulate on the tank bottom, helping reduce routine maintenance. Its stable dissolution behavior supports clear water and balanced chemistry, providing a clean, stable, and suitable aquatic environment for long-term Neocaridina shrimp care.
Standard Maintenance & Breeding
270 ppm
This range provides a stable and balanced mineral ionic environment, ensuring a continuous supply of essential elements such as calcium and magnesium during growth, molting, and reproduction. At the same time, it maintains effective buffering capacity, making it suitable as a standard water parameter setting for long-term care and stable breeding.
Selective Breeding & Color Enhancement
270–360 ppm
For mature breeding shrimp with higher adaptability, increasing TDS under stable water conditions can provide elevated mineral availability, supporting exoskeleton integrity and stable coloration. However, higher ionic concentrations also increase physiological regulatory demand and are therefore not recommended for juvenile shrimp or less resilient individuals.
